Rod Roberts is the Iowa Commissioner of Labor. He assumed office on March 1, 2019. His term ended on May 1, 2025.
Roberts was appointed by Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) effective March 1, 2019, and replaced former commissioner Michael Mauro.[1]
Biography[edit]
Roberts' was a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives. He represented the 51st District from 2001 to 2011 and served as an Assistant Minority Leader. He has experience working as director of the Carroll County Community school board. Roberts also has experience working as executive director of Christian Churches/Churches of Christ in Iowa. Roberts has worked as a pastor and a teacher. He has been associated with the Carroll Rotary Club.[2]

Roberts was appointed to the statewide position of Iowa Commissioner of Labor by Gov. Kim Reynolds (R), effective March 1, 2019.[3]

Roberts did not run for re-election in 2010.
2008[edit]
On November 4, 2008, Roberts was re-elected to the 51st District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives with no opposition.[4] He raised $82,121 for his campaign.[5]
