Career[edit]

Ron Rauschenberger served as senior adviser to then-Governor of North Dakota John Hoeven (R) from 2001 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007, he was deputy chief of staff to Gov. Hoeven. From 2007 to 2010, he was Hoeven's chief of staff.[2] In 2010, Hoeven won election to the United States Senate. Rauschenberger was named state director for Hoeven in 2010, but was tasked to stay in North Dakota to assist then-Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota Jack Dalrymple (R).[1] He informed Hoeven in 2011 that, rather than stay as state director, he would remain chief of staff to Governor Dalrymple.[4]

In 2012, Rauschenberger was named to the list of Top 500 Influencers in American Politics by Campaigns & Elections Magazine.[3]
