The Second District Adult Drug Court is a problem-solving court in New Mexico. It is located in Albuquerque. Adult drug courts in New Mexico are treatment based programs for adults. These programs provide alternatives to prosecution for those who are charged with felony drug crimes. The courts provide “individualized treatment for chemical dependency.”[1]

According to the court programs website:

The program features a team approach to rigorous treatment, coordinated with intensive supervision, random drug and alcohol testing, regular and frequent court appearances and educational opportunities. A combination of rewards and sanctions are utilized to motivate and encourage participants toward recovery. The participant's progression through the various phases of the program is appropriately recognized.[1]
