A Siskiyou County Hotel Tax Increase, Measure D was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in Siskiyou County. It was defeated.

If Measure D had been approved, it would have increased the hotel tax in the county from 8% to 10%.

  • Yes: 4,471 (41.8%)
  • No: 6,225 (58.2%) Defeatedd

A simple majority vote was required for approval.

Text of measure[edit]

The question on the ballot:

Measure D: Shall there be an increase of two percent (2%) to the general tax for the privilege of transient occupancy in any hotel as defined in Title 8, Chapter 4 of the Siskiyou County Code, which increase would set the total transient occupancy tax at ten percent (10%) of the rent charged by the operator?[1]
