    The Taxation of Motor Fuels Consumed by Interstate Buses is an interstate compact between Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. At its inception, Maine was also party to the compact, but the state legislature has since repealed the enacting legislation. This compact also has congressional consent. The compact was created to ensure that each member received proper taxation for motor fuels without overtaxing buses on interstate trips.[1][2]
