A vote about whether to recall Tony Lawhon from his position as mayor of Redfield, Arkansas, took place on November 6, 2012.[1] Lawhon was retained in office.[2] Redfield is located in Jefferson County. Lawhon took office in January 2011.

Background[edit]

Critics accused Lawhon of creating turmoil in the city by not obtaining council approval for his actions, not being truthful, belittling people, and cutting fire department funding while voting to raise his own salary. Lawhon said, "I have a vision for Redfield."[3] Recall supporters submitted the required 138 signatures, and a recall election took place on November 6, 2012.[4] Lawhon was retained in office.[2]
