A Township of York (excluding Nelsonville City) tax levy was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Athens County, Ohio.[1]

If approved this measure will renew a tax levy for 1 mill for 5 years for fire protection. If enacted this levy will commence in 2012 to be first due in 2013.

Text of the Measure[edit]

Language on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Township of York (Excluding Nelsonville City) for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire equipment and fire

protection at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[2][3]
