We've been tracking the number of official, state-level qualified political parties since 2013. This year's update shows 224 ballot-qualified, state-level political parties.
2. Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments for the first three months of its 2019-20 term
The Supreme Court begins its next term in just over two weeks. The court will hear 44 cases this term and has scheduled dates for oral argument for 34 of them.
3. Florida voters to decide 2020 ballot measure requiring voter citizenship
