The American Jewish Congress is an interest group of [[Jewish Americans organized to defend Jewish interests at home and abroad through public policy advocacy. These interests include advocating for the safety and security of the [[State of Israel, and upgrading its role in [[NATO.

It advocates for [[religious freedom and [[freedom of speech in the U.S., including the [[separation of church and state, and opposing efforts of the [[Organization of the Islamic Conference to restrict "defamation of religion, especially Islam", through the efforts of the [[Coalition to Defend Free Speech.
