There are two father-and-son American actors called Douglas Fairbanks. This article concerns the senior Fairbanks, usually called Douglas Fairbanks, while his son is always referred to as Douglas Fairbanks, Jr..

Douglas Fairbanks was an American actor known for a series of romantic leads in swashbucking films. His career ranged from the era of silent movies through the "talkies". He was also known for his marriage to actress Mary Pickford and their glamorous life together. Fairbanks was also a founding member of United Artists.

He was the father of actor and highly decorated naval officer Captain Douglas Fairbanks, Jr..
