George Harrison (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician and songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. He wrote some of their hits, including "Something", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and "Old Brown Shoe". After their breakup, he also had a successful solo career. He was married twice, first to Pattie Boyd in 1966 (divorced in 1974), and then to Olivia Trinidad Arias in 1978. He died of lung cancer in 2001.
