The Iroquois Nation was given a land grant of a ten mile wide stripe of the land beside the Grand River.

The Grand River is a watercourse in Southern Ontario.

Its headwaters are in the Oak Ridges Moraine.

In return for their loyalty to the British Crown, during the American Revolution and the War of 1812 the Iroquois Nation was given a land grant of a ten mile wide stripe of the land beside the Grand River.
