Ideal body weight (IBW) can be estimated as:^[1]

Males:

${\displaystyle \text{50 kg}+\text{2.3 kg}\times (\text{height in inches}-60)}$

Females:

${\displaystyle \text{45.5 kg}+\text{2.3 kg}\times (\text{height in inches}-60)}$

The adjusted body weight (ABW) is calculated from the actual body weight (ACT):^[1][2]
