Ideal body weight (IBW) can be estimated as:[1]

Males:

50 kg+2.3 kg×(height in inches60)

Females:

45.5 kg+2.3 kg×(height in inches60)

The adjusted body weight (ABW) is calculated from the actual body weight (ACT):[1][2]

ABW=IBW+(0.4×(ACTIBW)
