International Boxing Federation

The International Boxing Federation (IBF), based in Springfield, New Jersey, was founded in 1983. It is the third oldest of the four global professional boxing bodies which arrange world title fights, the other three being the World Boxing Association (WBA; founded 1921), the World Boxing Council (WBC; 1963) and the World Boxing Organisation (WBO; 1988).
