Leeds is a city and urban area in Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
Leeds is located at the northern limit of the M1 Motorway, which is directly connected to it by way of the M621. It also has a partially motorway-standard inner ring road. The city has a large railway station on a branch of the East Coast Main Line, with direct services to London King's Cross. The train station is the hub of all West Yorkshire railway services, with all 67 mainline railway stations within West Yorkshire accessible with a maximum of one interchange, and is both the largest and busiest UK railway station outside of London.
Leeds plays host to the annual Leeds Festival, a music festival including a wide variety of popular acts and genres. It is attended by large numbers of people and takes place in late August.
