Nathaniel Rothschild is a wealthy hedge fund manager, holding several citizenships. He attended the University of Oxford, where he was a member of the notorious Bullingdon Club, and made friends with fellow members, like George Osborne a future Chancellor of the Exchequer.[1][2][3]
In 2008 Rothschild and Osborne had a breach.[4] Rothschild was hosting both Osborne on his Greek Island, where Osborne was indiscrete about ties members of the Tory party had with Oleg Deripaska, then Russia's richest oligarch. Rothschild felt betrayed, and wrote a letter to The Times.
Peter Hitchens questioned whether a photo of a group of Bullingdon Club members, that included Osborned and Rothschild had been altered.[5]
Rothschild is the heir to the hereditary title Baron Rothschild.
