Peter "Pete" Hoekstra (1953-) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives for the 2nd District of Michigan, who took office in 1995. Born in the Netherlands, his family emigrated to the U.S. when he was 3; he was educated in both countries. He is Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
