The politics of Pakistan are organised through the Constitution of Pakistan, which defines the branches of Government of Pakistan|government and specifies that the country be an Islamic republic with a federalism|federal parliamentary system. The President of Pakistan is the country's Head of State and the commander-in-chief of the Military of Pakistan|armed forces.

The Parliament of Pakistan has two chambers, the National Assembly of Pakistan|National Assembly and the Senate of Pakistan|Senate. The country's head of government is the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is elected by the National Assembly.
