The Seattle Mariners are a Major League Baseball team based in Seattle, Washington. The team was founded in 1977 as an expansion team in the American League. [1] [2] [3]

Championships[edit]

The team has never had a championship-winning season. [4]

The team has been based in Seattle since its inception in 1977. They have played their home games at the following stadiums. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

  • 1999-present: T-Mobile Park (Originally named Safeco Field, renamed T-Mobile Park in 2019)
  • 1977-1999: Kingdome

They have been known as the Seattle Mariners for their entire history.
