Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma[edit]Tinker is home to the most intensely deployed wing in the Air Force, the 552nd Air Control Wing operating the E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), now under Twelfth Air Force. It is also the operating location for the joint Air Force-Navy task force for the E-6 TACAMO command and control aircraft.
While Tinker, as a base, is organizationally under the 12th, it hosts the immense Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, part of the Air Materiel Command. It also has a variety of maintenance units. Tenants at non-12th AF Bases[edit]
