World Boxing Organisation

The World Boxing Organisation (WBO), based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was founded in 1988. It is the youngest of the four global professional boxing bodies which arrange world title fights, the other three being the World Boxing Association (WBA; founded 1921), the World Boxing Council (WBC; 1963) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF; 1983).
