Amish in Missouri is the stating having the 7th largest Amish population, consisting of nearly 9,500 Amish in 2010, according to the Young Center. Missouri has grown substantially in recent years as settlements in New York and Wisconsin have; Missouri has added about 24 new settlements over the past 20 years. The Amish community at Seymour in Webster County, Missouri, is the largest in terms of church districts. Previously Amish lived in the “Missouri Bootheel” area.
