Amraphel

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Amraphel was a king of Shinar in southern Chaldea. He is best known as one of the leaders who invaded and destroyed Sodom. The identity of the name has long been a subject of controversy among Assyriologists, and is not even yet established to the satisfaction of all scholars. Some Biblical scholars have suggested that Amraphel was actually the Babylonian King Hammurabi.
