  • Practical (performance and general knowledge of music notation)
  • Musicianship (theory of music and aural testing)
  • Theory of Music (theory only)
  • Music Craft

The Board offers assessment in a wide range of musical instruments including, keyboard/piano, strings, woodwind, orchestral brass, band and voice.

Assessment and examinations are sectioned into grades of difficulty, usually first to eighth grade. Preparatory and preliminary examinations are offered for beginning musicians.
