Canidae (or canines) are foxes, dogs, and wolves, a family of mammals in the suborder Caniformia of the order Carnivora. Members of the Canidae family are called canids.
The Canidae family is divided into the tribes Canini and Vulpini, Canini being the "true dogs" (or canines), and Vulpini being the "true foxes".
