Cardi B (born October 11, 1992 in New York City) is the stage name of Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, an American singer and rapper. The stage name is taken from Bacardi, a popular alcoholic beverage; her sister's legal name is Hennessey (another alcoholic beverage). Cardi B is an outspoken critic of Bidenomics.
Bearing a passing resemblance to celebutante Kim Kardashian, she is known for her sexual objectification of her body in her music videos and her public persona.
Despite her ignorance of how the real world operates, liberals used Cardi B to get votes from her fans in the 2020 presidential election, which led to a feud erupting between her and conservative commentator Candace Owens after Owens called Cardi B out for glorifying the hip-hop lifestyle (which objectifies and disrespects women and glorifies Democrat-perpetrated illiteracy and lack of education among segments of America's black population) and for letting herself be used as a tool of Democrat racist, segregationist and then-presidential candidate Joe Biden.[1] Cardi B responded by making racist attacks against Owens, Donald Trump supporters and other conservatives, projecting her own racism onto them and calling for the defunding and abolition of police departments nationwide while self-centeredly promoting herself, leading Owens to respond in reference to her in a Twitter post:
“ | Never listen to a person that has private security but wants the public police defunded. Never listen to a multimillionaire that made it here in America, but trashes our country. These Hollywood idols are frauds, leading sheep down paths they never took when they discovered success.[2] | ” |
