Ceto

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

In Greek mythology, Ceto is the daughter of Gaia and Pontus. She is Phorcus' sister and also his wife and is the mother of the Gorgons.

She is seen as the personification of the perils of the sea and her name has since been used to describe any generic sea monster.[1]
