The Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) is a Christian democratic political party in the Netherlands.

The CDA was formerly the most powerful Dutch party having participated in all but 3 governments since its foundation in 1977.

The party suffered severe losses in the 2010 general election, losing half of its seats and plunging to fourth place in the House of Representatives. From 2010 to 2012 consequently, the CDA was a junior coalition partner in a right-wing minority cabinet with the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), supported in parliament by the Party for Freedom (PVV).

In the March 2017 Dutch elections the CDA rode a wave of popularity for right wing parties and gained back many seats it had lost pushing back up into third place behind the 'liberal conservative' VVD and the 'national liberal' PVV.

Their leader is Sybrand van Haersma Buma.

It is a member of the European People’s Party.
