Concepts Invented By Religions

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Here is a growing list of concepts either revealed by God or invented and developed by religions:

Judaism[edit]

Christianity[edit]

References[edit]

  1. There is virtually no reference in the New Testament to the "past" in the sense that term is used today; the comprehensive concordance for the English Standard Version lists only six references to "past" in the New Testament, none having the typical modern meaning as in "one's past." Instead, the New Testament focuses entirely on the future.
  2. There is no mention of "repentance" in the Old Testament (English Standard Version), but it is frequently mentioned in the New Testament. Similar words, such as "repent", are rarely mentioned in the Old Testament and those references have a meaning slightly different from "repentance".
