Concert of Europe

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The Concert of Europe describes the cooperation between the great powers of Europe, as started in 1815 by the Congress of Vienna, in response to the fall of Napoleonic France. This cooperation was designed in hopes of avoiding revolutions and keeping the peace. The Concert of Europe remained influential for most of the 19th century.

The Concert made these changes to the map of Europe:

  • It created the German Confederation.
  • It created the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
  • It allowed the Kingdom of Sardinia to include Genoa.
