Contract From America first emerged at CPAC 2010 and is a grassroots agenda for America, devised by the Tea Party Movement to recognize limited government, liberty, and free-market principles. Ryan Hecker, a 29-year old Texas attorney, is recognized as the creator of the Contract from America,^[1] which has the backing of the following groups: Tea Party Patriots, FreedomWorks, Liberty Central, National Taxpayers Union, The Liberty Lab, American Solutions, Let Freedom Win, Fair Tax, Regular Folks United, The Heartland Institute and The Next Right. The Contract From America was motivated by the inspirational Contract With America, a conservative agenda proposed by-then House Speaker Newt Gingrich in 1994. Hecker says the ultimate objective is to influence the outcome of the 2010 midterm elections and, if successful, the 2012 United States Presidential Election.
