A crane is a construction vehicle which is designed to raise and lower usually heavy materials. It can also be used to move them horizontally from one place to another. While small construction projects usually have no seed for such equipment, the crane is vital to large-scale projects, especially in the construction of tall things such as sky scrapers and high overpasses. They are useful not only because they lift items to their destination, but also over tall obstacles and back down to the needed height.
