From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Eber (Hebrew: עֵבֶר, ʿĒḇer; Arabic: هود, Hud, "one that passes, anger") (1723 AM-2187 AM or 2281 BC-1817 BC) is the named son of Salah. He was born in 1723 AM.

When he was 34 years old, he had the first of his named sons, Peleg. He lived for another 430 years and had other sons and daughters, among them Joktan.[1] His total life span was 464 years, longer than that of any other post-Flood man of his line.

He is also supposed to be the man who gave his name to the Hebrews.
