Electric Light Orchestra, also known as ELO for short, are a famous progressive rock band from Birmingham, England, founded by singer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lynne in the late 1960s. The classic lineup consited of Lynne, drummer Bev Bevan, keyboardist Richard Tandy, guitarist Roy Wood, bassist Kelly Groucutt, violinist Mik Kaminski, and cellists Hugh McDowell and Melvyn Gale. They are famous for their songs "Mr. Blue Sky," "Don't Bring Me Down," "Evil Woman," "Sweet Talkin' Woman," "Hold on Tight," and "Shine a Little Love."
