Evangelical Anglicanism

Evangelical Anglicanism is an expression of Anglicanism in some parishes that emphasizes conversion of souls, and practice of experimental forms of the liturgy. They are opposite of high church branches such as Anglo-Catholicism, and can also be described as "low church." Broad church parishes combine low church (evangelical) and high church elements. ^[1]

1. ↑ Note: "low church" does not imply "inferior." It simply means that there is a less rigid adherence to formality, much like in congregationalist churches. Historically, "low church" did have a pejorative connotation, but said connotation has been lost, and low church is seen as a perfectly valid expression of Anglicanism.
