Fargo

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota. It is the county seat of Cass County, and is located in the Red River Valley. As of the 2000 Census, Fargo's population was above 90,000. Including Moorhead, Minnesota, it forms the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area. Currently the population is above 180,000 and includes a portion of Clay County in northwestern Minnesota.

The city of Fargo is the crossroads of Interstate 29 and Interstate 94, making it the economic center of a large portion of eastern North Dakota and a portion of northwestern Minnesota. The population of North Dakota can be accurately "split" by these two highways.

Fargo's motto is "Gateway to the West". Fargo was founded in 1871. Mayor Dennis Walaker.

Ten Commandments in Fargo[edit]

Recently, the Fargo City Commissioners decided in a 3-2 vote to remove the Ten Commandments monument from the City Hall mall in Fargo. This has outraged many Christians in Fargo and has caused them to start petitioning so that they can bring the issue to the Fargo voters.[1]
