Franklin County is a county in the east-central part of the state of Missouri, on the western edge of the St. Louis metropolitan area. It had a population of 104,682 as of the 2020 census.

The county was formed from neighboring St. Louis County in 1818 and named for American Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. It is notable today for its many vineyards, part of the "wine country" in the lower Missouri River valley. Union is the county seat, and Washington is the largest city.
