Fulham F.C. is an English soccer club from the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Despite their long history they have never won any major honors, they currently playing in the Football League Championship. The current manager is Slaviša Jokanović, and the team is sponsored by Visit Florida.^[1] The club's main rivals are Liverpool.

History[edit]

The club was founded in 1879 and are the oldest professional soccer team in London. Their nickname is The Cottagers, after their home ground of Craven Cottage alongside the River Thames, which can usually be seen during the Oxford and Cambridge boat-race. The club was owned by the Egyptian millionaire and owner of Harrods, Mohamed Al-Fayed, who took control in 1997. The current owner is Shahid Khan.

Michael Jackson and Uri Geller are the most famous Fulham supporters and there is a statue of Michael Jackson at the Craven Cottage ground.
