Garrison Keillor (born 1942) is a liberal American humorist, writer, and radio performer. He is the creator and host of the popular public radio variety show "A Prairie Home Companion". Keillor is the author of more than a dozen books, including at least five about the fictional town of Lake Wobegon. His writing style consists of frequent anecdotes used to deliver underhanded attacks on conservative and family values. Keillor is currently an opinion columnist for the Chicago Tribune. In his columns he referred to US President George W. Bush as "the current occupant" and features frequent attacks on the Republican party.
