Gomer

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Gomer was a prostitute and the wife of Hosea as told in the Book of Hosea in the Old Testament of the Bible.

God told Hosea to marry her even though she was a prostitute, to symbolize the unfaithfulness of Israel before God. Gomer had three children while she was married to Hosea, none of which were his. Gomer fell into slavery and was redeemed by Hosea who bought her back per God's instruction, a metaphor for God buying back Israel even after they sinned against Him.
