Herbert Ives

Herbert Ives (1882 — 1953) was an American engineer and scientist. He worked for the famous Bell Laboratories from 1919 till 1948 where he directed first practical demonstration of television over substantial distances in 1927. Later he was leading their department of facsimile and television systems. He is also known for his critique of Einstein's special theory of relativity.
