Hominidae

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Hominidae is a biological family of primates. Non-human are also called "great apes". The classification is at the high level of a biological "family," compassing many different genii and species, although there are only four recent genii.

Taxonomy[edit]

Differing views[edit]

Evolutionary scientists place humans and gorillas both in the classification hominidae, asserting that they are related across an allegedly vast time scale rejected by the Biblical account of Creation. Creation scientists reject this classification for its evolutionary bias. Creationists belive that humans were created on the sixth day of creation and not the fifth, which would render this classification false. Baraminology is an alternate method of biological classification urged by creation scientists.
