Intervention (TV show)

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Intervention is an American television show broadcast on A&E. It initially ran from 2005-2013, then renewed beginning in 2015 and is still ongoing.

As the title suggest, it features people with an active addiction (not always to substances, video game addiction and compulsive shopping have been shown). Each episode is a documentary of one or more people (often showing graphic, actual scenes) until a surprise intervention takes place, under the auspices of a professional. The majority of those featured have been ordinary individuals; however, some notable individuals in the sports and entertainment worlds have been featured.

Though several of the people later relapsed (and, in some cases, died), at least one featured person ("Sylvia") not only overcame her addiction, she later was featured on the show as a professional interventionist.
