Islam and Christianity

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 2 min

For years, Islam and Christianity have had a very strained relationship.

Every single year, hundreds of innocent Christians are killed in the hands of Islamic extremists and at least dozens of Christian females — including teenagers and even younger children — are violently raped by Islamic men. Houses of Christians, as well as churches,[1] are torched and sometimes even bombed,[2] while Christians do not commit significant violence towards Muslims.

Despite strong persecution in the Middle East, thousands of former Islamic adherents are turning to Christ.[3]

The Differences Between Islam and Christianity[edit]

Many people compare Islam and Christianity for these main reasons:

  1. Both originate from the Middle East.
  2. Jesus Christ is believed to have been sent by God.
  3. In both the Holy Bible and the Koran (the latter of which largely plagiarized from and corrupted Biblical scripture), Adam and Eve are considered to be the first people, created by God.

Islam and Christianity do have a few things in common, but this section focuses on their many differences instead.

Note: These are just some of the differences between Christianity and Islam. Suggestions are welcomed.

  • Christianity is an Abrahamic and monotheistic religion. Islam, on the other hand, is claimed by its adherents as an "Abrahamic religion" as well, and this claim is backed by their otherwise anti-religious liberal allies who would normally attack, censor and oppress Christianity and Judaism, even though in truth, based on its history, Islam is more akin to the totalitarian ideologies of Nazism and Communism, which liberals have also embraced over time due to those ideologies' attacks on Christianity and Judaism
  • According to Islam, Allah does not love the people that reject Islam,[4][5] but according to the Bible, God loved all people, so much that he gave his only son, Jesus.[6]
  • Muhammad permitted lying and stealing from people who don't believe in Islam, known as taqiyya[7] - Jesus did not permit lying nor stealing; he said, "you shall not steal" and "you shall not bear false witness".[8]
  • Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God incarnate and only view him as a great prophet
  • Muslims do not believe that salvation is by God's grace alone or through faith alone[9]
  • Greatest commandments:
    • Islam: Belief in Allah and Jihad in his cause[10]
    • Christianity: Love God and love your neighbor like yourself[11]
  • According to Islam, Jesus was not crucified
  • In Islam, it claims the Holy Spirit is the arch angel Gabriel and not the third person of the Holy Trinity
  • In Islam, man was not made in the image of Allah
  • In Islam, there is no original sin; according to Islamic belief, people are sinless until they begin to rebel against Allah
  • The Holy Trinity in Islam is claimed to consist of the Father, Mary and Jesus
