Islamic fundamentalism

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Islamic fundamentalism is a radical movement within Islam that seeks to violently advance certain political and religious goals. It is the ideological basis for much of the terrorism occurring in the Middle East and elsewhere.

Bernard Lewis wrote, "Islamic fundamentalism has given an aim and a form to the otherwise aimless and formless resentment and anger of the Muslim masses at the forces that have devalued their traditional values and loyalties and, in the final analysis, robbed them of their beliefs, their aspirations, their dignity, and to an increasing extent even their livelihood." The Roots of Muslim Rage

Since Barack Hussein Obama was elected president, many in the United States fear that Islamic fundamentalism could take root and even spread on American soil.
