Jane Seymour (1509 - 1537) was the third wife of Henry VIII whom he married in the same year that he had his second wife, Anne Boleyn, executed. In Jane, Henry finally found a wife who would give him a male heir, Edward VI. Unfortunately, Jane died during childbirth. While still a child, Edward would eventually become King of England upon the death of his father, but would himself die as a young man after a short reign.
