Juggling is the skill of keeping several objects, traditionally balls or clubs, moving continuously, usually by throwing and catching them in rapid succession. Jugglers have often performed in circus entertainment or in conjuring shows.

There are numerous forms of juggling. Sometimes the balls are thrown between two or three jugglers rather than by a single performer. In 'contact juggling' the balls are not thrown at all, but are in continuous contact with the juggler's body as he or she moves carefully and rhythmically in order to keep them rolling without falling. In 'extreme juggling', dangerous objects such as knives, flaming torches or even chainsaws are thrown in stead of balls.

Juggling is often used as a metaphor for trying to coordinate numerous factors or activities simultaneously without failing, as is 'spinning plates', another traditional circus act.
