Karbala is a city in Southern, Iraq. It has a population of 619,000 It is a holy city to Shia Islam. Many Shia Muslims around the world travel to the city of Karbala, Iraq to visit the shrine of Hussein. Karbala is generally a very safer City in Iraq because they have more of a security presence there to protect the pilgrims.
