Lenticular galaxy

A Lenticular galaxy is a type of galaxy that is often considered to be an intermediate between spiral galaxies and elliptical galaxies.[1] They are situated at the intersection of the Hubble tuning fork diagram, and labelled "SB0" or "S0" depending on whether the contain a bar or not.
They often have a mixture of features seen in spiral and elliptical galaxies; for example they often have a bulge and disk like structure like spiral galaxies but have no spiral arms or dust like an elliptical.[2] They are called lenticular galaxies as they look like lenses when viewed edge on.
