Loyalty

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Loyalty is the quality by which a person feels a sense of allegiance and devotion to another person, state or ideology. It usually requires the loyalist (person feeling the emotion) to place the cause above other factors or situations in his or her life. For example, soldiers who feel loyalty to their country may be willing to sacrifice their lives in order for their country to win a war, placing their devotion over the desire for life. In the case of communist or leftist ideology loyalty has typically been coerced or otherwise threatened into existence by the state.

Quotes[edit]

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.[1]
